Film: Danger: Diabolik
Danger: Diabolik – 1968, Dir. by Mario Bava Where to begin; The story – a handsome thief and his beautiful girlfriend rob from the rich and keep it – then have sex on a bed covered in the money. So far so good. Diabolik (John Phillip Law) is a genius thief, with a penchant for full body rubber suits, who lives in the coolest underground lair…ever. He’ll do anything for his girlfriend, Eva Kant (Marisa Mell) and attempts to steal as much money, gold and jewelry as he possibly can. This was an adaptation of an Italian comic and considered to be the most faithful ever made. Who can say? It’s great though, wild soundtrack, psychedelic sets, hot Italian women, John Phillip Law, crazy editing and action, action, action. It’s exciting and hilarious at the same time – who could ask for more?
