Graphic Design: Adam Magazine

There’s not a lot of information about Adam Magazine – which seems odd. Perhaps no one really cares. But look at these covers. The cool logo, the vertical stripes the odd looking women – all perfect. Adam ran from the late 50’s through the 70’s and then turned into a somewhat more hardcore version called Cavelier. Adam published 3 or 4 works of fiction per magazine – mostly science fiction or adventure (sometimes famous authors) – and of course nude women. Adam changed their cover design with the times, 50’s & early 60’s saw the full body versions below. The later versions changed to portraits and finally bad 70’s soft-focus porn photography.
