Photographers: Mick Rock

Mick Rock (born 1948, London England). Known as “The Man Who Shot the Seventies” Mick has been a busy man. He’s probably best known for his shots of Bowie (as his official photographer), Lou Reed and Iggy – among hundreds of others. He’s shot the covers of Lou Reed’s Transformer, Syd Barrett’s The Madcap Laughs, Queen II, Joan Jett’s I Love Rock n Roll as well as the chief photographer for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch,  and Short Bus. Wait there’s more, he’s directed the videos for Bowies’ John I’m Only Dancing, Gene Jeanie, Space Oddity and Life on Mars. His recent subjects include The Misfits, Snoop Dogg, The YeahYeahYeahs, The Chemical Brothers, Queens of the Stone Age, Daft Punk, and on and on, and on and on.
