Design: B-Horror Double Features

Let’s start October with some horror – bad horror. These posters were meant to promote, mainly to drive ins, movies that probably didn’t do so well the first time around. Some were packaged as double features right-off-the-bat but most were second run non-hits meant to squeak out one final dollar from the drive in crowd. Some of these pictures had so many different titles that you could go to the same movie twice without knowing. I Drink Your Blood (#1) was also called Blood Suckers (#9) it was also called Incense of the Damned. The Embalmer (a shitty black and white Italian snoozer) was also known as Monster of Venice. The point being; get as much dough out of these super cheap films as possible, no matter how you do it. But the art’s cool and the design, though mostly bad collage is fun.
