Design: The Posters of Ed Wood

Everyone knows the the story of Ed Wood. Voted the world’s worst director (not true), bad author, cross dresser, horrible alcoholic and finally in the end, desperate pornographer. Ed never really made at any point in his life. He was never ever famous nor rich or really even known. He rode the fringes of Hollywood in the fifties, finding a methadone addicted Bela Lugosi alone and jobless, using him as a calling card to some pretty odd films. He even used him after his death, splicing in old footage of Bela with his chiropractor doubling as the dead star (Plan Nine From Outer Space). He finally got his fame many years later with the VHS release of his films and the Johnny Depp/Tim Burton biopic. Check out his movies if you haven’t seen them lately – stay far, far, far away from his porn stuff (weird hairy late 60’s early 70’s smut).
