Photography: Bad Women ’63 – ’68

I could look at mugshots all day long, imagining exactly what they might have done to deserve such harsh photography. What in the world could 5″ 4′ Bonnie Jean Werner have done? Sure, those eyebrows are a bit of a crime, but c’mon. These are random shots from Minneapolis, Philly and Baltimore – all taken between 1963 – 1967. No one looks too remorseful. Sharon Lipke looks kind of sad and Carol Andrews looks really, really pissed but they all look like they’ve been there before, though I have no idea whats going on in Lieselotta Muenchubers’ head.
